Homemade balms

to make our homemade balms we used:

Wax bars (from happy bees!)
Organic, unrefined Shea butter
Organic, virgin Coconut oil
Homemade sage oil (using the sage leaves from our herb garden last summer)
and some little glass jars

 Method:

We flaked the wax bars and put them into a disposable container.

 We melted the wax and stirred it with a wooden spatula.  When the wax was melted, we added the Shea butter and coconut oil and as they melted into the wax, we stirred until the mixture was smooth and runny.
 We took the mixture off heat and added a dropper full of sage oil and stirred it well.

Using a funnel, we poured the mixture into the little glass jars and left them to cool.

And we now have some lovely, natural homemade balms to use over the next few months :)

Heaven {this moment}

Heaven by sailingbystarlight
Heaven, a photo by sailingbystarlight on Flickr.

{this moment}, a Friday ritual.
A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week.
A simple, special, extraordinary moment.
A moment I want to pause, savour and remember.
